Moldavite mining process
Moldavites are mined in several ways. We prefer those that are friendly to nature as well as to moldavites.
Industrial mining is carried out in large sand mines. Unfortunately, this often damages the moldavites. In addition to sand and clay, common stones are also found in the sediments. This is one threat, but the bigger threat is the flushing and sorting of the material. In the process, the surface is often chipped or abraded.
Then the moldavites are also dug by hand. This method is gentler on the moldavites. Most of them remain undamaged (or then fatal damage has already occurred). Unfortunately, this method is sometimes used by black diggers who leave behind damaged fields and forests.
My colleagues and I try to use the best of both. However, respect for nature and our homeland is sacred to us.

We reject offers to buy moldavites from suspicious sources, which may include criminal activity.
